Newbie in the house

Hi, i joined CMC about 6 months ago,

i bought some windows off a member and they had http://www.colchesterminiclub.co.uk vinyls, so i thought "hey why not" saves removing the text.

i lived in lexden colchester til about 9 years ago, now live in Basildon so i haven't had the opportunity to attend any club meets as of yet, but since my project is only just on the road hopefully you will see me in the upcoming months,

My mini is like marmite, you either love it or hate it, regardless though it raises smiles,

origionally a 1982 998cc city, in faded matt blue paint with vinyl and tartan highly soiled interior hmmmmmmm...... nice

5 years later, a lot of welding, spraying, dismantling and cursing in the few hours of spare time i get! it is now a shadow of its former self,

ive done all the work myself, learning as i went, its not a concorse show winner, but it is a good laugh.

features include:

unique airbrush real flame paint job

1275 clubman GT A series of relatively unknown spec

quickshift

HIF 44

stage 1

loads of chrome and shiny bits

cooper s discs

rolling on 10's

Alfa romeo momo interior
(or luxury italian red leather furnishings as i like to call it)

if you see me about in colchester or surrounding areas (or broken down on the A12) give us a hoot.

some pics for your dis/aproval*

yes i took a few attempts, mistakes are nearly impossible to rectify

lots of time and practice with an airbrush and french curves, whilst listening to heavy metal

the only way it can be done.
