As mentioned by Woodisgood the difference in performance will be striking. I don't think it would be fair to compare the performance of a 1litre Mini (for example) with a 3 litre, 400bhp Supra. The power is fun though.

My main focus is on the fact that I spend plenty of time and money just keeping the Supra on the road without really ever tangibly improving it. I'd love to get all the suspension bushes replaced but the parts alone are almost a grand and fitting time would take my car off the road for months. (And I need it every day to get to the station) If I had a Mini then the parts are so much cheaper than for the same outlay I could maintain and modify (to a high standard), and get something which I'm much happier with.

I blame the members you have in Eight Ash Green. I'm always driving past a house there with some very nice Minis outside and it sets me thinking every time.
