about the club

Our cars at the Cricketers We are a local club for enthusiasts of the Classic Mini based in the Colchester area. Each month we meet up at a local pub to catch up on the latest Mini gossip, ogle at each other's cars, ask for help, get some inspiration, and generally chill out with a bunch of like-minded folk and a pint of something non-alcoholic (mostly)! Come along on the first Wednesday of each month from 8pm at The Cricketers Inn [see map], Spring Lane, Fordham Heath, Colchester, Essex.

In addition we also organise occasional events, such as fun runs in convoy or local shows where we get to show off our Minis. We also attend other local and national Mini events, and often travel in convoy to get to them, which makes the event even more special! Check out the forum for details of events we're planning on going to, and meet up times if you're planning on coming with us.

membership

Membership for Colchester Mini Club is just £12 per year, and gives you access to members-only areas of the web site, entitles you to certain discounts at selected shops and may give you a discount on your insurance too.  You also get to put your Mini on our show stand at various Mini events around the country.

To become a member, simply download and return this application form.  You must agree to and adhere to the terms and conditions of membership, which also apply to the use of this site and forum.

Our discussion forum remains free to register, but does not constitute proper membership. Anyone can read the topics, but if you would like to post something then you'll need to sign up with a valid e-mail address (you will be sent an activation link). The club was advertised to Colchester at the end of July 2005, and we now have around 100 members on the books.

The aim of the club is to attract all those mini enthusiasts (young or old) in and around the Colchester area. (Outsiders are also welcome). The club is all about the Mini - we want you to share with us your pride and joy, may it be standard, modified or even an old time classic.
